First of all, a big THANK YOU to all of our patients that reached out during this difficult time to support the clinic. Your support during this challenge has been appreciated more than we can express!!!

We are here for you! We made the decision to close the clinic to all but emergency visits 1 month ago, and that was the right choice for our patients and staff at the time. We did see some urgent cases, but as time went by we started getting more and more calls from existing patients whose condition was worsening due to a lack of treatment. We were also hearing from new patients, or patients of other clinics that were trying to get treatment due to their provider being fully closed.

This has been a difficult time for all of us. However, we all knew that we’d need to re-open at some point, and given the number of patients reaching out for help, we have decided that we will re-open both clinics. Further, Chiropractic is specifically mentioned at both the State and Federal level as being essential, and thus permitted to operate.

We will do our best to take care of our patients during these challenging times, but in the interest of safety for all we are implementing these policies:

  • Patients will be screened on the phone prior to their appointment for COVID-19 exposure and symptoms, and asked to bring/wear a mask or face covering for their visit to minimize risk.
    • We have also asked our staff to do the same.
  • When you arrive for your appointment, we’ll take your temperature to screen for fever, and ask you to wash your hands in the restroom.
    • When possible, please keep 6 ft apart in adherence with social distancing guidelines and be mindful of others.
  • Appointments will be spaced out to minimize the number of patients in the clinic.
    • Rooms will be thoroughly disinfected between use.
    • Treatment tables, instruments, etc. will be sanitized after each treatment.
  • We are recommending that patients that feel that they are in a high-risk category for COVID-19 complications call to discuss their condition with their provider to determine the best course of action.

We have also taken steps to sanitize the clinics:

  • We are regularly disinfecting all surfaces and touch points in the clinic.
  • We have added UV Sterilization to the HVAC in the Multnomah Village clinic, and the UV units should be installed in the Pearl in the next week or so. UV is the only way we could find that would actually inactivate viruses and bacteria. This will treat all of the air in the clinic.
  • Staff will have their temperature taken each morning at work, and sent home if they have a fever.
