If you’ve ever experienced tightness in your back, shoulders, or neck, you know how uncomfortable it can be, and how it can affect everything from your posture to daily activities. At Hosmer, our focus is helping our patients not only find relief but also maintain long-term spinal health.

One simple way to do this is through targeted stretching. The Yoga Plow is a really helpful exercise for the upper back; however, if you’re stiff  —  or inexperienced with the traditional Yoga Plow — it can put a lot of pressure on your upper shoulders and neck and can potentially cause injury. That’s why I’m happy to share our latest exercise video: the Assisted Plow. It is designed to gently stretch your spine, relieve muscle tension, and improve flexibility with less chance of injury. The Assisted Plow is a perfect precursor to the traditional Yoga Plow.

This stretch helps:

  • Gently decompress the spine, reducing tension in the back and neck.
  • Release tight muscles in the shoulders, hamstrings, and lower back.
  • Improve posture and mobility, making everyday movements easier and more comfortable.
  • Supports your chiropractic care regimen by helping you maintain the benefits between visits to our clinic.
