What chiropractor worth their salt wouldn’t have something to say about posture?

We all know posture matters. You’re fighting gravity every second of the day—whether you’re standing, sitting, working at a desk, or even scrolling on your phone. And how your body lines up against that constant gravitational pull plays a big role in the amount of chronic stress and discomfort your body experiences over time.

That’s why I created this short Posture Reset video because I believe good posture shouldn’t be complicated, intimidating, or reserved for perfect bodies or elite athletes. It should be simple, sustainable, and feel natural.

Start with the Pelvis

Posture starts from the bottom up. Think of your pelvis like a bowl of water. If it tips too far forward or backward, it “spills.” The goal is a neutral pelvis. Balanced and steady.

Once you’ve found that neutral base, take a big breath in.

Why? Because your breath helps your spine naturally align to the straightest, most supported position it can hold based on your body’s current structure. As you exhale, the key is not to collapse. Stay upright. Stay neutral. Keep your neck and shoulders relaxed and in line.

Sitting Doesn’t Get You Off the Hook

Most of us spend a lot of our day sitting, and that’s when posture tends to really fall apart. We sink, slouch, and hunch. It feels fine at first, but that forward fold adds up over time.

Same fix here:

  • Find your sit bones.

  • Balance your pelvis.

  • Inhale to lengthen.

  • Exhale, and stay tall.

And if you’re working at a computer, don’t forget to check your setup. Your monitor should be at eye level, your keyboard close enough that your shoulders can stay relaxed—not reaching forward. These little adjustments make it possible to maintain good posture without feeling like you’re straining.

Why This Works

A lot of the posture advice out there, such as “pull your shoulders back” and “tuck your chin,” can leave people feeling stiff, confused, and frankly, a little discouraged. That’s not the goal here.

Instead, we’re working with your body, not against it. The breath, the pelvic alignment, and the gentle engagement of your spine help you reset your posture in a way that’s doable and sustainable.
