Earlier this month, a few of our Pearl District chiropractors had the pleasure of partnering with barre3 to host a community Foot Health Workshop. We’re incredibly grateful to Courtney and the entire barre3 team for welcoming us into their beautiful studio—a space that, like ours, is grounded in helping people move better, feel stronger, and stay aligned in every sense of the word.

The workshop focused on something we often overlook: our feet. As the foundation for everything from balance to mobility, foot health plays a major role in how we move through life—especially for those engaged in barefoot workouts like barre3.

Here’s a quick recap of what we covered:

  • Foot Function 101
We explored how the foot and ankle work together to absorb impact and provide stability, especially in barefoot exercise environments.

  • Footwear Tips
Not all shoes are created equal. We discussed what qualifies as “foot healthy” footwear and how to safely transition to more minimalist options.

  • Mobility Matters
Attendees learned hands-on techniques to improve range of motion in the foot, calf, and ankle—including a demo using a lacrosse ball for plantar release (plus a shoutout to the Supernova as a high-performance upgrade).

  • Dynamic Stretching
We wrapped up with a multi-directional calf stretch—perfect for improving ankle mobility and reducing strain on the feet.

We were thrilled to see so many people stay afterward to chat with Dr. Syd, Dr. Charlene, and myself. These one-on-one conversations are always a highlight for us. While workshops are great for sharing general tips, true progress starts with personalized care—and we’re here to help.

Thanks again to everyone who joined us. We’re already working with Courtney on finalizing our next weekend workshop for June.

Here’s to healthy, happy feet—and the strong, aligned bodies they support.
