Scott Haines, DC (He/Him)
Originally from the East Coast — having lived from New England to the Mid-Atlantic region — Dr. Scott Haines brings a thoughtful and investigative approach to chiropractic care. Before entering healthcare, he earned undergraduate degrees in photography and later completed a year long, graduate-level project management certificate program at George Washington University while working in the telecommunications field.
After deciding to pursue a more hands-on profession, Dr. Haines moved coasts and enrolled at the University of Western States, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2007.
Early in his career, Dr. Haines worked in a dental clinic for the leading TMJ specialist Dr Arthur Parker DMD, gaining extensive experience treating jaw disorders (TMJ/TMD) and understanding the relationship between the jaw, neck, and spine dysfunction. He has extensive experience working with complex musculoskeletal conditions, including hypermobility disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), where a careful and highly specific treatment approach is essential.
Dr. Haines places a strong emphasis on identifying the root cause of pain and dysfunction rather than simply managing symptoms. By carefully evaluating how different parts of the body interact, he works to uncover the underlying factors contributing to discomfort and recurring issues. His treatment style is precise and gentle, combining chiropractic adjustments with rehabilitation and soft tissue techniques to help patients restore healthy movement and support long-term wellness.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Haines enjoys spending time outdoors. An avid rock climber, he originally chose Oregon to continue his medical studies and for access to Smith Rock. He continues to enjoy climbing, cross-country skiing, hiking, backpacking, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Haines’ patients.

Patient: K.K.
“Dr. Haines has been a huge help dealing with my recent back and neck pain. When I first came in with upper back and neck pain, I had already aggravated the issue to the point of it being chronic. I came in hesitantly for adjustments, which he handled with compassion and patience, offering several different treatment options. He was also able to diagnose and treat some reoccurring arm and hand issues I had been having. After a few weeks’ of 2x a week treatment with Dr. Haines, and some massages from LMTs Emily Ford-Lemos and David LeLong, I am feeling much better. Dr. Haines took the time to understand my specific problems and used all the tools in his arsenal to address them. Not only did he provide chiropractic adjustments, but also used soft tissue techniques. Additionally, he suggested several at-home stretches to maintain my mobility and comfort. He communicated clearly throughout treatment – both to explain his treatment methods as well as to teach, demonstrate, and evaluate my understanding of the at-home stretches.”

“Dr. Scott Haines is an excellent healer and listener. All symptoms were taken into account, and the adjustments were given flawlessly. I learned some new stretches from him today that will help to diminish occupational strain, and I walked away with a rubber band that I am already enjoying using. Dr. Haines is my go-to person, whenever my shoulder is giving me grief. I am ever so grateful to know him. Cheers.”
